Why Your Support Matters
For more than 15 years, I lived peacefully in my Santa Clarita condo. At 68, I had never experienced homelessness until an electrical fire destroyed my home in February 2025. Without insurance and with nowhere else to turn, I quickly exhausted my limited income trying to stay sheltered.
Then someone told me about Bridge to Home.
When I called, I was welcomed with compassion and urgency. Soon after, I heard words I will never forget: “I have a bed for you here.” For the first time in months, I felt relief and hope.
At Bridge to Home, I found more than shelter. I found support, kindness, and a path forward. With the help of my case manager, I moved into Chatsworth Commons Senior Living with two other Bridge to Home residents. Today, I am enjoying this new chapter, participating in activities and programs, and living independently once again.
